The Memphis, TN sub-chapter of the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (MTRID) is a non-profit organization of certified and non-certified interpreters, Deaf and hearing consumers, parents, and other interested parties. |
MTRID Objectives:
- Promote quality interpreting services
- Recognize the unique language and culture of Deaf people
- Provide professionals development opportunities
- Provide the public with information regarding interpreting
- Foster input and representation from the deaf community into its activities
- Raise funds to support the purposes and activities of MTRID
