Summer Chappell
TRID Vice-President

Summer has been professionally interpreting since 1999, but working as an interpreter for her mother since the age of 4. In 2000, she got her NAD IV Advanced certification at the age of 18. With her mother and father active in RID and the interpreting community, she has been involved with RID all of her life. Summer became involved with TRID in 2005 when Memphis interpreters sought out information from state and national levels. The Memphis local chapter was established again, after being inactive for several years. Since 2005, she has been President of the Memphis chapter and just recently was elected Vice President for TRID. Summer is also a member of CODA International and is still pursuing a Bachelor's degree from the University of Memphis. She presently works as an interpreter in community and video relay settings.
